Unleashed by ION Systems in the mid 1980s, Richard Hay’s original amplifier concept stirred emotions in unsuspecting Hi-Fi freaks and music lovers alike. The Obelisk was something unabashedly different.
Two decades on, we have resurrected this legendary shoebox-sized integrated, updating its exterior aesthetics and internal components. More importantly, however, we challenged ourselves with the demanding task of preserving the classic Obelisk’s absorbing delivery and infectious musicality, while offering even greater transparency, leading-edge detail and more gripping dynamics.
