Our current flagship speaker, the Kawero® Grande, features state of the art German engineering, state of the art materials and hightech precision manufacturing processes to achieve a listening performance which was previously unattainable in the world of high end speakers. Minimizing structural vibration was taking special care for: We use German made Panzerholz for the cabinet (in a proprietary mix to form an unique sandwich construction). Additionally a special heavy foil is used to apply constraint layer damping. Last but not least the cabinet consists of a upper and lower cabinet to reduce the panel wavelength of the speaker. Making the cabinet in two pieces with exactly matching geometry and even veneer structure proves the outstand craftmanship of Kaiser Acoustics. The Kawero Grande hosts a very capable 15“ Audiotechnology sandwich woofer in the back (rearfiring) in a ported enclosure. The front baffle has a 12“ Audiotechnology sandwich woofer (closed box), a custom made 8“ Scan Speak Ellipticor midrange and two custon made RAAL 70-20 ribbon tweeters. The ribbon tweeter load a FEM designed waveguide with slightly different angles for each tweeter and they get also slightly different signal from the crossover to control and steer the radiation of the waveguide. The crossover is build with the finest Duelund CAST Cu components. It is a flat crossover design with focus of optimal behavior in the time and frequency domain.
